Engagement Ring Trends of 2023

It’s proposal season! November through to February is the busiest time of the year for popping the question, the heightened excitement and joy of the holiday season really brings in a fresh sense of romance for couples, so maybe now might be the time for you? Each year brings new engagement ring trends, so have a look at our favourite trends for the 2023 ring season!

Colour Me Crazy

The use of coloured stones in engagement rings has been on the rise for 2023, particularly deep blue sapphires. Using a coloured stone can bring a real sense of individuality to your engagement piece, and shows just how much thought you’ve put in to get the perfect piece for your special someone. The hardest part is choosing the stone! Maybe you could choose birthstone pieces, or does your fiancé-to-be wear a particular stone in their everyday jewellery? There are so many gems to choose that it’s really up to you!

Perfect Pair

Two stoned rings are really making a splash in the engagement ring game! Made popular by Arianna Grande and Megan Fox, two stoned rings, often called ‘Toi et Moi’ rings, are a rising trend for 2023. Signifying your relationship, two stones can depict an unbreakable pair. They don’t have to be the same cut either, Kylie Jenner’s Toi et Moi ring famously sports a square and a teardrop cut diamond side by side. You can really make this piece as unique as you wish. Why don’t you even try it with a coloured stone to add a bright pop to your piece?

Stretch them Out

Elongated cuts have become all the rage with engagement pieces this year. Emerald cuts, pear cuts and marquise cuts have been almost a staple in the 2023 engagement ring catalogues, and it doesn’t look like these beautifully elegant cuts are going anywhere anytime soon. Not only do these cuts look effortlessly chic, they are also much kinder on your ring budget! Due to the elongated cuts, these stones look much larger than your rounded, more compact, styles, and are infinitely cheaper to cut. So, an emerald or marquise cut engagement ring may bring you more bang for your buck!

Men’s Engagement Rings

2023 has normalised men getting engagement rings to symbolise their upcoming nuptials. This trend is brilliant, as men have normally missed out on the engagement ring hype. You can opt for a simple band that perfectly matches the wedding band, or why don’t you jazz it up a little with a stone set into the band? Or maybe a two-toned set will be perfect for highlighting the engagement ring. There are so many ways to personalise this new trend of 2023!
